About the event
Small Uncrewed Aerial Systems (sUAS/UAS) are an increasing concern to organizations and facilities and can no longer be ignored. Some of the industries that are most vulnerable to this growing threat are critical infrastructure/utilities, government facilities, including DoD, and mass gathering venues.
Don’t leave your facilities (or your clients’) unprotected and unprepared for a drone incident! Our Counter UAS courses provide professionals with the knowledge and frameworks needed to incorporate the air domain into comprehensive security programs.
Our instructors are passionate about security and provide engaging, hands-on instruction to educate participants on this evolving risk.
Come join us at the Hilton Garden Inn in Colorado Springs from July 14th to July 18th, 2025, for five days of training in CUAS and Law, and Drone Vulnerability and Risk Assessment.
INTRODUCTION TO CUAS AND LAW
This foundational course introduces the fundamental knowledge needed to understand Counter Uncrewed Aerial Systems (CUAS), including current United States laws and legislation and the technology ecosystem. It enables students to gain a better understanding of the fast-paced evolution of commercial drones and how to begin implementation of the "air domain" in their security approach. It also sets the conditions for participants to advance to the Drone Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (DVRA) instruction and practical application.
DRONE VULNERABILITY AND RISK ASSESSMENT (DVRA)
This course provides the knowledge necessary to carry out a Drone Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (DVRA). It provides a structured approach to assessment and introduces basic concepts to enable students to add it to their security program. This course is particularly beneficial for government operators of counter-unmanned systems and any private-sector business looking to incorporate the "air domain" into their security protocols. The course is designed to lay a solid foundation upon which to build further. The DVRA will serve as the bedrock of a comprehensive drone risk mitigation strategy and seamlessly integrate with existing business security programs.
Who should attend?
This training is open and suitable for anyone with a need or interest in protecting facilities against drones, private sector or government, including facilities and security staff, decision-makers, security consultants, insurers, and law enforcement officials. It is essential for inclusion in comprehensive security programs.

Days typically run from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with Friday generally ending by 3:00 pm or earlier, depending on the number of students. The CAPSTONE exercise allows for students to work outside the classroom conducting an assessment on a designated location.
