OPERATIONAL EXPERIENCE. STRATEGIC CLARITY. MISSION-FOCUSED SECURITY.

Phoenix 6 Consulting LLC
A mission-focused professional services firm helping leaders prepare for complex threats, build operational capability, and make better decisions when time matters.
Phoenix 6 Consulting LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business providing specialized advisory, training, and exercise support across Counter-UAS, 3D Physical Security™, security program development, emergency preparedness, critical infrastructure protection, and operational readiness.
Founded in 2017, Phoenix 6 supports government, defense, law enforcement, critical infrastructure, academic, and commercial organizations that operate in high-consequence environments. The firm combines strategic consulting with practical implementation: defining the threat, assessing vulnerabilities, designing the capability, developing policy and procedures, training the team, and rehearsing the decisions that matter most.
Phoenix 6 takes a mission-first, technology-agnostic approach. Recommendations are built around the operating environment, authorities, decision timeline, and client requirement—not around a preferred product. That approach integrates people, process, technology, governance, and exercises into a coherent security capability.
The company’s work is grounded in more than three decades of military, intelligence, security, leadership, and emergency-preparedness experience and is reinforced by published thought leadership, professional education, executive speaking, and hands-on Counter-UAS training and consulting.

Founder, Phoenix 6 Consulting LLC
COL (R) Bill Edwards, CPP, PSP, PCI, CCUSP, is the founder of Phoenix 6 Consulting LLC and a security strategist, Counter-UAS practitioner, trainer, author, and educator with more than 35 years of military and private-sector experience. His work spans operational and technical security, counterterrorism, intelligence, critical infrastructure, public safety, emergency preparedness, C-UAS operations, sensor integration, common operating picture design, and organizational readiness.
During his U.S. Army career, Edwards served as Director of Intelligence for Theater Special Operations Command-North and worked across Department of Defense, federal law enforcement, interagency, and international partner networks. He also commanded and operated in Iraq and held senior leadership responsibilities in complex, high-risk environments where force protection, intelligence, infrastructure, and mission continuity had to be integrated rather than treated as separate problems.
After retiring from military service, Edwards founded Phoenix 6 Consulting and held senior private-sector leadership roles in security consulting and federal/public-safety technology. His current work focuses heavily on Counter-UAS strategy and training, 3D Physical Security™, threat and vulnerability assessment, C-UAS architecture, common operating picture design, exercises, operational policy, and Decision Advantage.
Edwards is the author of The Perimeter Has Changed and The Sky Has No Fence, and co-author of Inside Abu Ghraib. His security and drone-related thought leadership has appeared through Forbes Technology Council, Homeland Security Today, Small Wars Journal, and other professional outlets.
