The abrupt evolution of the small unmanned aerial vehicle (sUAS)—or drones—has taken the world by surprise. Conflicts dating back to 2014 in the Middle East gave indications and warnings of what was possible in the future. As time progressed, various wars began to result in laboratories for drone experimentation. The ingenuity, creativity and innovation of people flourished to the extent that a revolution in military affairs took shape, changing tactical combat operations while creating a situation where security professionals had no choice but to change the status quo of traditional security planning and preparation, extending the 'air domain' into comprehensive security program development.
